To celebrate the New year and the birthday of one of our good friends, a surprise trip to the Karangahake Gorge was planned for her.

It was our first time as a group to go on an overnight road trip so it was definitely an amazing time filled with lots of laughter, stories and silliness.

Visiting Hobbits

10 years in this beautiful country, where all the magic of hobbits, wizards, elves and dwarfs were brought to life and only did I get to visit this well known “Hobbiton” last August.

As you walk through those same gates that Bilbo Baggins runs through in the movie, you automatically enter a whole new world. Hobbit holes everywhere, clothing lines with clothes drying, a vegetable garden, fire coming out of the chimneys. The place is lively as it can get!

Europe Adventures: On the road to Barcelona

After a full day in Madrid, we loaded up on a mini bus and set on the road for Barcelona.

I have to say, we were lucky enough to be able to go on this road trip as there was just so many things to see that we would not have been able to if we chose to get on a plane.

It’s weird to think that it has been about 4 months now since I left for an amazing adventure with such an amazing group of girls. Europe has always been one of the places I’ve wanted to visit, however I thought that it would be later on in my life till I will be able to have that chance; Then a great opportunity turned up on my door step.
