For those that know me, I’m the laziest person when it comes to make up. I love the idea of putting it on, but what puts me off the most, is the thought of having to go through the whole process of removing it at the end of the day. Also, having the choice of having a bit more sleep in the morning or getting up slightly earlier to get it all done, I would choose having a bit of sleep-in any day!
Although, this may be my outlook on make-up, I still try to put in a bit of an effort on special occasions or when I have to be at work.
I don’t put on a whole bunch on my face but this is what I put on an ‘everyday’ basis.
On special occasions, I add on a few more bits.
On my day-offs or weekends, my face is pretty much bare. I only put on some face cream that has sunscreen included in it. Sometimes, I put on a bit of mascara but that’s a rare thing for me to do.
So there you go, my make up routine if you can call it that!
I recently attended a workshop where a make-up artist gave some tips on how to take care of your skin. She outlined that make up should not be heavy layers on your face. It should be used to enhance your features, not hide it. I think that is a very key thing in all this. We have to appreciate our unique beauty and be happy with who we are and how we look. There is no one else in this world like you. You are beautiful the way you are! 🙂
I believe that all women are pretty without make up but with the right make up can be pretty powerful. -Bobbi Brown
