Less sugar, better sleep and more exercise.
I have decided to take on this 24 day challenge called fit24 this September with some of my work colleagues. It should be a very interesting journey for me as for one, September is a month of birthdays in my family (including mine!) and therefore a lot of sugary treats around. Also, trying to find the time to exercise or pushing myself to exercise is very low. I always tell myself to get into it but it is such a task for me to actually get up and do it. Getting enough sleep is not too much of an issue unless I have a build up of things to accomplish where I end up going to bed very late and getting up very early the next day. Overall, this is really going to be a real challenge for me.
However, I am ever so excited to get into it. Being a Nutrition student, I know the good benefits of having less sugar, good sleep and good exercise. I have always tried incorporating this into my lifestyle but haven’t been very successful in many aspects, so this might just be the push to get me being consistent with it. In the end of the month, I’ll provide an update on how I went and the difficulties I would have faced.
I challenge you to do it along with me. Lessen your sugar intake, get 7-8 hours of sleep a night and at least 20 minutes of exercise a day. Bring it on September and here’s to good health!
